Well we have a diet plan and if that doesn't start to show an improvement (ie no more weight loss) then we will rethink possible a steriod trial.
so he is getting 1.4kg of calm and condition (dry weight), 1.4kg of fast fibre dry weight), split into 2 feeds a day. with 2 scoops of pink powder and 60mls of NAF EnerG. He is staying in overnight so i can see what he is actually eating and he gets 2 sections of horsehage green and 2 sections of meadow haylage. he isnt eating all of his grub but most of it. he still not enthusiastic about grazing and spends a lot of the day dreaming away. so i am not convinced that there is nothing wrong inside but i am going to give the vets suggestions a try first.
the vet wants me to get saracen equijewel can anyone give me some feedback on this? i am worried about spending £30 on it for him to turn his nose up as he doesn't like any nut form of feed. though he will eat it if i put it in his ball (strange horse)
