A little whinge - Munstead photographer

bad luck today Star, but still what a season you have had. as a random thought would it help to take him for a jump in the SJ workin before your dressage?

someone else just suggested that too so definitely a possibility. Trouble is he does tend to jump very inverted and as soon as the jumps come out he reverts to that way of going - head high and hollow. I know it's not an ideal way to jump but he's 12 and he clears 1m10 courses like it so I'm reluctant to attempt to change his way of going too much. Wouldn't be the ideal prep for getting a nice, round dressage outline though. Next outing is Pulborough - wonder if they'd notice if I take him for a whizz round the gallops before the dressage lol!

Mine are up but just two of them. They are so bad I am not telling you which ones they are! haha! My BCA ones were also rubbish yesterday! Winnie needs to perfect his jumping fence pose and I need to open my eyes! Oh dear!

Hahaa I feel better then because mine are so awful.

I emailed him and said is there any of me going over the other fence and he responded straight away. He then asked what number pics were mine and I replied and he has since gone quiet!

Which are yours?

wow you got a reply! I am the first horse on the 3:00-4:30 section, my jumping position is awful but we were going a bit too fast down the back there haha! I have a black hat silk with stars on it!!
I am sure I saw a photgrapher at Fence 11 when I was going round? Weird!!! I dont understand why he takes pictures at that jump, its the smallest and most boring on the course!!! :p
are you off to pulborough next? thats my next one! x

I know I count myself lucky! Mind you he has now gone quiet and I may not hear from him ever again. Your pics are a 100 times better than mine! Stunning horse!
It is a dull fence though. I thought that 'w' fence would have been a good one capturing people as they go over it from the front (if that makes sense) or a number of others. Oh well I shall hope for some nice ones at Larkhill which is my next one.

I was too slow to enter Coombelands which is such a shame because I was really keen to do it. Probably going to watch Lexi do her Novice so I'm planning to be there on foot. Will find out everyone's numbers and take emergency back up pics then in case its the same photographer!!

Are you doing Larkhill?

Thank you, he is a bit of a stunner, shame about the rider hehe! which are yours??
I may bump into you at Pulborugh as I am friends with lex to and can usually be found hanging out in her luxurious lorry haha, hopefully she will have the rose on ice :)
No not doing Larkhill, we are finihsing our season at Pulbrough (unless something majorly goes wrong and we will try and stick a late entry in for Twelesdown on the 15th!) Are yiou planning on Larkhill?

My pics are that bad I seriously don't know what happened. I way ahead of him and he looks so laboured over the fence. He also looks rather fat! The first two of 12.30.. there are loads of pics on the website on the bottom of my posts so thats how he usually looks - a bit blooming better!

Rose on ice..?? I'll def be there then! Pics may be a bit wonky!

Are you doing BE90 again?

I have entered larkhill because I've heard good things about the course. I am so close to getting a double clear on the big baby horse and I really want to finish on one. The last three events I've had one run out xc and each one has been so avoidable.. super frustrating!

So tired after yesterday.. its 5pm and home time for me..! Finally!!

No, I am Doing the 100 there!
Yes Larkhill is nice, however sometimes it gets a bit chilly up there and really windy, I know Lex experianced this last time she went last year!!!

Haha the lorry certainly wasn't looking luxurious when squizz saw it but living will hopefully be 85% complete by pulborough! So the Rose may have to be in the bucket with murphy's cool boots!! And yes, larkhill is the coldest place in the south so I always end up doing a very poor dressage test there!! The xc is nice, sj on a slope so does unbalance a few but generally a nice little event :)

gosh finally! it is such a dull fence though - cant even see the back bar from that angle! i am on page 2 of the 4.30 till end XC - chestnut on the top line, 2nd horse along. really wanted to buy one from my first BE100 but it's just so dull and he's taken so long he doesn't deserve any custom! at the beginning there were pics over 2 XC fences and SJ as well, but looks like the other photographers got bored by the end. how disappointing :(

SUCH a rubbish choice of fence! Star - your chap has a cracking front end! Very tidy in front! My second horse is in the 4.30 to end section, page 5, the grey at the end of the top row. He looks great but my position is appalling! Even if it had been the nicest picture ever I think I would have refrained from purchasing out of principle! Gosh we are all so demanding aren't we ;) ;) :D

It will be nice to see it all finished!

I just got my text to say I am in sec H for Larkhill which is good.

Winnie has come down with Lymphangitus so just on the phone to the vet to get some antibiotics. :(

Oh crikey Squiz! Poor Winnie! I guess that explains why he was a little off at BCA and what a trooper he is for carrying on. Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery :)

Morning- just looked at your pics. They are much nicer than most on there I reckon. Think 822 is nice but yes he could have got a better fence to photograph!

Thanks I thought he just wasn't right and flat! At least there seems to be a reason.. and there was me kicking him round the course.. such a meanie! :(

thanks - it's nice enough but it doesn't really shout "I'm a big scary BE100 fence!" which is what I'd like from a piccie!

Thanks - we got a really good shot to that one and he flew it :D Loving your grey - very smart. I'd love a grey but only if it came with a groom to keep it clean!!!

Really, I dont think expecting your pics up before 10days post event is that unreasonable. I am not going to buy anything from him that's for sure! Hopefully Pulborough's photographer will be better and even better if he pics a nice impressive photo fence!
