I just wanted to introduce everyone to my new arrival and also have a place to catalogue his progress.
Just a little bit of background, Mr T is a horse I very nearly bought in November I called to tell the seller I would have him and he had been sold literally 5 mins before I was gutted but as my very wise oh said what is meant to be will be and if your meant to have him you will.
I heard a number of stories about where he was and what he was up to in the following few months and it sounded like they were having a few problems with him.
However at the start of last week I heard that he was looking very poor and the vet wanted to do blood tests to see if there was any underlying issues.
In the meantime with a little negotiation I managed to buy him with the hope that there wasn't any major issues but that was a risk I was willing to take as I knew I had to have him back (heart over head as usual)
So I'd like to introduce you to Mr T he is a 12 year old, 17hh Irish sport horse gelding, in his past he was very talented and has 67 SJ points that he aquired over 18 months over 1m - 1m20. He is a very sweet boy and before I show you a picture I know he has a very long way to go but he is now on a good diet with ad lib hay, good grass and of course lots of tlc.
His bloods came back yesterday and he was diagnosed with anaemia due to a severe worm burden, fortunately the first thing I had done when he got back was worm him so we have already started dealing with this. He has already started to look slightly rounder so I am hopeful everything we have done so far is already having a positive effect.
Raspberry trifle for anyone who has made it this far I didn't realise I could ramble so much
