I don't know if you watched the racing today, but AP had 2 horrendous falls and looked in real pain. I know these jockeys are tough, but by heck they looked real humdingers of falls.
I hope he is OK to ride tomorrow.
Am really busy this evening but will re join the discussion tomorrow.
 
I hoipe so, thought he did a fantastic job on Alberta's Run (one of my favoourite horses) but looked in quite a bit of pain when he got off in the winners enclosure after the race. Who do you think would ride Denman if AP isn't available as Sam Thomas also out with an injury?

AP would have to lose a leg before he gives up tomorrow's ride (or if they stand him down)
 
We just finished watching the tape of this afternoon and I said the same!
I reckon he is now being massaged, pummelled, tweaked, magnetic therapied and anything else possible. He'll be there.
What painkillers are they allowed? I think footballers can have injections directly into the sore area, but that maybe out of date now.
 
Oh no, I saw his first fall but didn't realise he had taken another tumble :( He looked in a hell of a lot of pain after the first fall, when was the 2nd one? Did he ride any after that?

It will take a hell of a lot to keep him of Denman tomorrow, wouldn't be surprised (or blame him) if he dropped the earlier rides though!
 
The second one wasn't as bad, the horse just crashed to the ground at the last or second last fence and threw him clear. He wasn't weight bearing afterwards though. (AP, not horse!).
I imagine its like when you have one injury, even something silly like a split in your finger, you constantly hit it so he was bound to land on the bad leg again.

Apologies for going asent for the discussion, my computer wouldn't play ball yesterday, darned thing.
AP looked so much better for the Gold Cup and I think he gave Denman a superb ride. I was devastated to see Kauto fall, but so pleased to see him cantering back.
Hope he is OK.
