A sad day for us, daughter has finally accepted she has grown too big and heavy for her tank like 13.1 NF pony.
How do I decide how much to sell her for?
The positives are many, she was bought as a confidence giver, ace at gymkhana, done all pc/rc stuff, jumps double clears (but child doesn't like jumping so she hasn't done much of that) hunts, helps round up the wild NF ponies on the drifts, races (handicapped by weight of her rider, but she can shift) a joy to be around on the ground, good in all ways, non marish, bred one fantastic foal. Fantastic in heavy traffic goes alone or in company. etc etc etc. 9 years old. Seems to adapt to her rider in how she behaves. A real fun pony, absolutely honest, genuine and completely wonderful in every way. Would suit all types, from another nervous kid, an adult rider who doesnt' want any hassle, to a competitive child to bring on further and "specialise" her in a discipline.
Negative - mild sweet itch, which we deal with by sticking a boett on her. This is her last August, you wouldn't know she had SI if I hadn't told you. We feed her a sugar/cereal free diet and stable her at night throughout the year (she's a good doer too), but whether those last 2 help with the SI is a matter of conjecture...
So, how much would you say? Sorry it took so long to read.
