A Safe Ring Feeder for Horses......

No idea, sorry. I have never used one.

I have foals, so I wouldn't personally use anything the daft beggars could stick their heads through.

My feeders are 4 poles banged in the ground with oak planking fixed to them. They are about 18" high and 6' square- ish. The foals nest in them. They can't be moved which is a disadvantage, but, on the other hand they cost me nothing but my time, rather than several hundred dollars.
 
I can't use anything like that as my boys would instantly assume it was a climbing frame! i have a big square of rubber mat in the field with the hay plonked on top! they can still drag it around but don't trample it into the ground quite so much!
