So I went to try two horses to share at the weekend (Sunday) after not having so much as sat on one for nearly 5 years! Was obviously apprehensive about getting on for the first time, but it all went surprisingly well and all came flooding back nicely.
Stupidly i didn't do any training beforehand, just did some light stretching. So I knew I'd be aching a fair amount (a LOT!) but it's been so bad I can barely walk! And it's now Wednesday and I am in complete agony!!! My inner thighs are something else, and I'm walking like John Wayne!
I don't know if I've done something serious to my inner thighs (pulled or strained something?)or whether it will calm down in a few days, my abs and my back ached the next day, but that has gone and the thigh pain doesn't seem to have subsided at all.
It is difficult for me to rest (my job is very active and I'm on my feet all day) so is it best to take a couple of days off or just work through it like I have been? I obviously don't want to make things worse!
