I have honestly not been this angry in such a long time.
My friends had gone down into town today shopping, I stayed at uni to revise. One of them came back, the other had gone upto the yard with some guys to check on her horse.
My friend came back and told me that my supposed good friend had bought some water based paint. She was going to catch my horse, paint his white bits and I wouldn't have a clue until she had put the picture on facebook and tagged me in it, what a hilarious prank for her and her stupid mates.
Asides from the fact that Oshk is obviously hugely sensitive (photosensitive, can't be washed with any kinds of strong shampoos, hair falls out easily, completely wuss horse!) I wonder how much common sense you would have to lack to think that painting anyone's horse is remotely funny- this girl owns her own horse, is she completely brain dead?
Luckily my other friend had the common sense to tell me, and I honestly hit the roof with anger- I have never felt so protective over my horse before, I was completely shaking with anger.
I arrived at the yard to see paints outside my stable, and walked around to my field just as she was catching MY horse, and she giggled with her postgrad boy mates thinking it was completely funny, and said something along the lines of "oh R, we were just about to play painting by numbers with your horse" all sarcastic and completely smug.
I had, by this time lost all other cares for anything including our so called friendship, all I wanted was to get my horse as far away from possible from the rest of the world.
I honestly can't believe what I did next because it is completely out of character but I marched upto her, slapped her across the face, not a word, and walked off with my horse.
Completely feel horrible for hitting her, but I daren't even think how I would have reacted if she had actually PAINTED my horse, afterthoughs on the matter have been a can of paint stripper to her car or to just pin her down and shave all of her hair off, I've never felt this much anger towards another person in my life. Thank god he goes home on Wednesday.

Blimey what a stupid little girl?!! Has she not heard of Photoshop?? Instant results as well as being far easier and cheaper and nil risk of injury (as you'd have gone to your horse on seing the photos rather than gone to her sat at computer)

I am not at all surprised you slapped her, Not right but justifiable IMO. Don't give yourself a hard time, she did deserve it.

As much as it was the wrong thing to do, I would have done exactly the same.

The YO once took my horse out of her field without my permission (using boltcutters to cut the padlock on the field) just so he could use her for a promotional picture in the local paper. He let a 14 year old novice girl take her back out to the field. To this day I don't know exactly what happened but when I got there that afternoon she was standing in the field with a great big gash in her stifle and required an emergency vet's visit.

I managed to mostly control my anger until the next day, when I saw the picture on the front of the paper of my horse with the stupid teenage girl draped all over her. I have never howled and raged like I did that day. Had I seen her in the street that day I would have caused her serious harm.

I'm glad he is ok, here's to him being home and away from the stupidity of others.

I honestly still can't believe a 'horsey' person would ever think of doing something like that.
I said to my other friend afterwards- I'm not an unreasonable person, I enjoy a giggle, I never got mad when I found a rotting bit of roadkill on my windscreen, when the boys stole my carkeys and used all my petrol driving around- I didn't even get mad when they cling filmed it together to my mate's car, or when they changed my alarm clocks the day before they knew I had an exam, I can take banter very well and usually have a laugh along too, even when they filled my room full of pine cones and tree trunks for the evening (which I picked up the fine for).
But going into my field, taking my horse WITHOUT my permission, and planning to PAINT it actually is a few steps too far and I really do want to poke someone's eyeballs out for it.

You have every right to be angry, and, tbh, I think I would have thrown the paint over her as well for good measure!!!

Not really a friend though is she??? Friends don't do those things!

hmmm, hilarious, not.

I am amazed at how composed you were. I am araid the paint would have ended up on her head, and then see hw she likes being painted by numbers.. I am surprised however that she could even count, judging by her stupidity.

*hugs* Thank goodness you got there in time. If they'd actually done that to poor Oshk... Perhaps speak to the YM/YO as well? Absolutely despicable behaviour.

Good grief, what a plank. Would it have been an awful shame if he'd kicked her into next week, had she managed to start her artwork?!

I'd be buying your other pal a pint for having the foresight to let you know, too.

.

Has the brain dead sliming excuse for a human being crawled on her belly to say sorry yet, if she can get close enough by some means to do so?

OMG, what a stupid, irresponsible thing to even think of doing, your ex friend sounds like a complete t**t sorry! Well done for only slapping her and i echo what AmyMay says and tell the YM or whoever!

What did she say when you slapped her? Did she apologise or anything?!

Would have acted the same... in fact I might have double-slapped her and pulled her hair out!!!

Though even then, she would have gotten off lightly than what would have happened if she had tried painting my horse... my horse can do much more than a slap on the face.

My God though... I can have a bit of a giggle myself but your uni mates are slightly out of hand!!! The things that happened to you never happened at my uni!!!
