I know it's a full tb, but if you're happy to throw money at a risky import, then you would be better buying something like this which is considerably cheaper and already a ready made hack.
Thank you for your your help xI have asked my friend in Malta and she said she couldn't recommend any of them.
They mainly have injuries and are sent to the UK as they can't be returned. They don't have bases in the UK.
I know this is an old post but avoid second chance Horse Rescue Malta, horses are generally lame and some blind. Adopters are bullied and horses have been removed due to an “alledged breach of an illegal contract” some horses removed when the owner wasn’t there. Anyone who speaks out gets trolled and bullied and threatened by a bogus solicitor. There is a good article on the dodgy dealer sites and standard bred in the UK. Some shameful behaviour going onHas anyone adopted an ex trotter from Malta or overseas? In todays climate happy hackers are fetching over my budget and I have looked at adopting an ex trotter they look lovely and it would be lovely to give them a nice life, it would be nice to hear some opinions/experiences of people who may have done so?
Have you looked at horse charities here in UK? I got a lovely Welsh D from one of my local charities. I’ve had him 6 yrs now & he’s just brilliant.Thank you for your reply, my budget was set at 3k for a happy hacker merely because I thought that should be adequate to buy a horse for occasionally hacking, I have my own land and secure finances to pay for vet bills ect, so that’s not really what my post was about, it was simply asking if anyone had any experiences.
It is but useful for anyone that thinks of a malta horseThis thread is over a year old, I imagine she's purchased a horse by now.
