Advert -done a lot for one so young

sounds like maybe a **** pony? They start them off very young driving I think. Having said that, travellers/gypsies don't usually sell on the website do they?

Poor thing - hope she gets a home where she can take a year out in a field maturing.

very sad, let's just hope she gets a good home, preferably before Appleby starts :o. These ads (well, what's been going on behind them) make my blood boil - a poor two year old forced into work by people who do know better. And yes they do - but money talks, and there are just far too many of these poor souls being bred to be flogged like this.

Sorry, rant over - just a gypsy vanner lover ;)

I'm surprised a farrier would even shoe a 2yr old (racehorses excluded)

I'm hurt thats its already been broken to drive :(

It really is quite a sad advert, and a terrible photo I mean who buys a horse when you can't see its head!

Fingers crossed someone nice buys her and treats her well

All of the horses at the site next to my old stables were broken to drive well before two and hammered down the dual carriageway. The people there told us they did it cos when they are that young they 'dont fight as much' and can be 'broken'. Given the treatment I witnessed on numerous occasions, Im not surprised they didnt risk waiting til the horse was older, they would have been double barrelled. Not very pleasant at all.

Certainly seems to have done rather a lot, doesn't she. But the shoeing thing on its own wouldn't be such an issue for me - I have a friend who had fronts put on a 2 year old when the ground was v hard and its feet weren't growing fast enough to cope with just being turned out.

Presumably given her breeding she has been bred to race in harness, therefore shod and broken to do that job.

Awful photo to sell a horse from but I'm not horrified by the advert tbh. It's correct to say its rare to see them advertised on horsemart but there are hundreds of horses just like this sold every day.

Shoeing a two year old is not a problem. Some youngsters naturally have bad feet and the only way to keep them sound and comfortable may be by shoeing.
