Henry, 3 year old Sprocker.
Fit and healthy in all ways, comes to the farm with me 5 days a week and helps me muck out 5 straw stables, tries to make friends with the yard cats (virtually feral), and generally has a great time.
The thing is, Frontline doesn't seem to work for long, maybe a week or so and then he's back to scratching and licking and when I look, he's crawling with the damn things. The other 5 dogs at the farm don't seem to be as troubled as he is.
I have resorted to bathing him regularly and then going over him with the nit comb which he loves and picking out and drowning as many of the fleas as I can find which is usually quite a lot.
What else can I do?
I hate the thought of these critters breeding in my carpets and the bites I also get. Is it likely they are coming from the straw?
Does anything work better than frontline in these circumstances?
All suggestions will be very gratefully received.
Thank you.
