Anyone any thoughts of the most comfortable body protectors for the older larger busted adult. looking at racesafe at the moment. Have a rodney powell buts its just so damed uncomfortable and makes me immobile. thanks,

Don't have any advice but have heard the race safe is the best. My daughter has a Rodney Powell & hates it difficult to do up & makes her look deformed.

As one working on a racing yard definately vote for Racesafe. Its the only one I can move and bend in :D.The plates are small so there's much more room to move in

I've just bought a racesafe and am really pleased with it :) Don't usually wear a BP generally but I am wearing this most days now dealing with a tricky horse and I'm not feeling that it limits my movement in anyway or feels uncomfortable.

thanks everyone for the quick replies. Will be investing in a racesafe methinks, espeially after yesterdays big unexpected buck in the sandschool which knocked me out cold and left me with a cracked shouler blade. Aparently I bounced well. lol

try the race safe but keep your options open.

I found the race safe very uncomfy. I ended up with an airowear the one designed for women so it has room for your boobs! With wear the foam goes really soft and moulds to your body really well. SO wear it for a few min if you try one on to give it chance to mould.

They are also reasonably breathable for a BP full of little air holes. I manged to school in mine today in this heat!

Racesafe ones are fabulous - I wear mine every time I ride - and I was very glad after today's session in the school where the mare decided that walk to trot was way too difficult and walk to bronc was much better! In Winter when it's cold I even leave it on after riding to do the mucking out as I forget I've got it on. I'm quite generous in the chest department too.

I have an airowear outlyne ladies BP - my previous airowear BP was so uncomfortable and always caught on my saddle despite being 'fitted' that I only wore it a handful of times.

I insisted on taking my saddle with me to get my new BP as if it made it difficult to ride it would just live in my wardrobe like the previous one  I think I ended up getting one ordered in mismatched sizes front/back so that it fits me as well as possible whilst not bashing my saddle... It also has plenty of room in the bust - best sports bra ever and I forget I'm wearing it after a few mins, even when it's hot :)

I am also of the 'larger busted' variety :D

After trying on lots of brands I have a Racesafe and love it. As with any BP you notice it when its first on but after a couple of minutes I forget I'm wearing it. Little panels mean its very flexible and I also find that it is unrestrictive around my shoulders, which I have previously had an issue with.
