i have been looking for something to step up to from my 14.3hh connie x - something i can carry on doing RC with and aim for low level eventing with.
i dont have a huge budget - up to about 3k. ive been to see a lot of horses, and nothing as yet that suits, ive also found a lot about the 16hh mark i feel overhorsed on. im really confident on my current wee lad, and been out winning hunter trials, sj, & xc. but i wont jump something i dont know over anything very big....
i saw this mare advertised
just turned 9 years old - so at the max upper age limit i was considering. expolo pony that has been hunting and doing xc. 16hh
i went to see her and found she looked a wee bit different now to that pic
i wasnt even sure i would try her tbh, but when i saw her move - in what has to be said were less than ideal conditions, i decided i wanted to get on.. she was the single most easiest thing i have sat on. size wise she felt ideal, i was very cautious given we were on mud, but i watched the seller jump a decent fence and was v impressed. her flat work will need A LOT of input though... and she is pretty poor looking...
obv if i bought her id get a full vetting and bloods done. but she is a long way away from me so i cant go and visit again. i have done a bit of digging and the local ponyclub know of her so im pretty sure its genuine...
here is a wee vid clip, what do you think? she is advertised at 2k....
