Iam thinking of getting the barrier lavender wash or the dermoline one to use after exercise instead of just hosing, also wonder if it would be useful while wet ragging
are they worth the money, or is it there a way to make my own

I use the Barrier Lavender wash as well as slosh washes. They are good as they are no rinse but smell lovely!! I have a grey and a piebald so find they help to keep them clean - I think the oils in them must stop the mud (which is usually liberally applied!) from sticking as much which is a bonus!:D Also good for clearing up any little nicks/scratches they may have.:)

Is the lavender wash also suitable for hot clothing? during grooming
at the moment I use a squirt of baby bath, and or surgical spirit on my coloured cob
but was wondering if there was a better product to use.

where did you get a case of 12 from and was it cheaper than individuals as i love buying in bulk, get my red rum shampoos that way
thanks

great thank you
so now ive gotto find somewhere to buy it at a reasonable price possibly in bulk

Try the mint refreshing wash - that's lovely too!!!! No rinse solution aswell and it is brilliant on a hot day. Reasonably priced too, by the same company. I also have their anti-itch wash too which helps my girl

I make my own refreshing wash for after exercise from 1 teaspoon each of lavender, tea tree and peppermint oil plus 2 tablespoons of baby shampoo - must be very mild. Put into a gallon bucket of tepid water. Apply with a large sponge - cleans the sweat off and leaves you with a lovely relaxed and sweet smelling horse. No need to rinse, so good for a winter refresher. You can also use this to hot towel but I then change the shampoo for two caps of dettol to remove the cost grease or a handful of soda crystals.

I love the lavender and also the mint wash. Went with the mint one last time as it was a bit cheaper - always like a bargain!!

I might try making this as it will probably be a lot cheaper especially when ive got two to groom a coloured and a black
and both need to be kept spotless as they are commercial drivers , so always in the public eye
thank you

Barrier lavender wash, or any other for matter, great stuff, a very light rinse type of shampoo that doesnt froff up or takes ages to rinse out, perfect for a cool summer rinse/sponge down after they have worked up a bit of a sweat. :)

I LOVE the mint barrier higeine one I like it better than the lavender one, I've used both and they are lovely. Don't use before clipping though ! the oils in it must effect the clippers cos mine wouldn't clip along the bum where it must collect

I use the mint non rinse wash - but I much prefer Medivet - which is a great non rinse wash, costs about the same as the barrier and IV ones, and is a medicated wash. It is an unusual smell, but it definitely does grow on you! I love the smell of it now, and it keeps my neds looking lovely, and definitely helps the pony keep her scurfiness down at this time of year xx
