After five years

Good for you...sounds like a useful career...so you'll need a specific qualification at HE for that, won't you? I take it that's why you're going to Uni?

Yeah, there is a full time course for it at Bournemouth Uni, ive just ordered the prospectus so will attend next year as am having a gap year at the moment to get some experience in a health care setting and pass my driving test and things because i will need to drive there as its about 30mins drive from my house.

I think Ripples took offence because she has been offended by this poster in the past, i dont think its so much what was said, more that she expects to be put down by this poster so takes anything they say as an insult.......

Does anyone remember the 'deleted thread' where I supposedly declared my evil intentions? Not the one with the link Ripples has posted...

I was wondering if you had managed to get out there to ride. So pleased you had a lovely time - the first of many let's hope.

What is it about that glittery stuff that makes it stick..... I'll still be finding it stuck to clothing and unmentionable places in february!!

Well done for getting back on after 5 years and glad to hear that you enjoyed it and intend returning to Talland for tutition. (pity that this post has gone a bit off track). A friend of mine who had suffered from polio many years ago and had had a couple of operations on her ankles rode a mechanical horse (not sure if there is one anywhere near you but am sure that they would know the answer at Talland) for a while. This gave her the chance to rebuild muscle and also had the benefit of having an instructor that could give a hands on approach re sitting square etc as through years of lameness she had become uneven. I don't know if this would be of interest to you and I realise that it is not the same a riding a "real horse" but just though that it may interest you. All the best for future lessons.

If you can afford to live in halls, you'll have a lot more fun socially...although sometimes they are prohibitively expensive...if memory serves, the deadline for UCAS applications is about now...so if you go through UCAS, might be worth checking?

Not fussed about living in halls, that would mean i had to pay for to much, i will have a bursury so i will still be able to afford the horses and its straight down the motorway for me so wont be to much of an issue getting there, plus i love my friends at home to much and would miss my bf to much! Im not sure how i apply as i thought UCAS was a college thing, i should still have a UCAS account though as i made one at college so ill see if its still active, ill have a look what the prospectus says when i get it.

I don't know what course you're doing...but you should be able to find it through the UCAS website (although some courses do bypass it) . I've just checked and applications for Autumn 2008 close on 15th January...and you need to get references etc done...
If you intend to study starting in Autumn 2009, it is still worth applying now for Autumn 2008...then when you get your place...defer entry for a year...that way they'll keep a place for you. Hope this helps

PS Someone mentioned fructans in PNE's thread...I'd hate for you to miss a fructans reference....

Hmm.....I do have over 600 posts to catch up on, just in the Lounge, you know.

You can't have my sole attention you know!

Thankfully all your bullying PMs have stopped for the moment.

Nah, after that last particularly nasty one, I deleted them all and didn't read them. I don't need bullies like you in my life, albeit a virtual life.

Well, it did take me a while to write 6000 bullying PM's...you could have read ONE of them.

Hedgehog or not - the constant Satanic references are psychologically upsetting. I'm not sure how long I can cope with it - I may have to take an extended break from the forum to recuperate.
frown.gif

Well, at least long enough for me to do the school run, anyway!

What? And give you even more satisfaction than you already have? Bullies should be stamped out, and beaten severely, and tied by the ankles upside down and whipped with a hose-pipe!
smirk.gif

Why do you think I haven't been spending much time on here recently? He's scared me off and the threats were becoming too much to bear.
