My TB is still on the thin side, needing the grass to come through asap! after the flurry of rain yesterday it looks to be getting greener but the field still looks like a barren desert :(
Shes in at night with ad lib hay and is fed twice per day.
Will post some pics after.........
Can i see pics of your tbs this time of year thanks :)

mine look amazing :)
will try to remember my camera later for piccs

they have lived out all winter with my anglo arab and my sports horse, haylage in field and grass nuts once a day since xmas-ish

my grass is only just starting to come in last week so theyve been off grazing and im stopping with the haylage

Zoomy......three weeks ago, she has gained even more weight now :)

She was looking really ropey at the end of March after a LONG winter and the loss of her best buddy Monty but a new feeding regime got the weight back on. Still can't wait to move to Summer grazing so i can relax!

If I'm being honest a bit on the porky side.
In Feb he went down to be rehabbed on Exmoor - he was already in good condition when he went there - and he has effectively been living out on Exmoor with a barn for shelter and ad lib haylage so kept his weight well.

Since the grass has come through, and he is only on it at night, he has got rounder. Went to visit him on Sat and it was a real struggle to make the girth meet the straps.

Kicked mine out a week ago so out 24/7 now & looking rather well! :o
He wintered well in at night until he had to have 2 courses antibiotics which knocked him off a bit. Was a little ribby & tucked up. He's happy as larry now, fabulous shiny coat coming through too.

Mine is still looking poor but was turned out in to the summer field at the end of last week so will hopefully start to look better soon!

mine was quite skinny and definitely underweight when I got him at christmas, and the grazing on was on over winter was rubbish, new yard has lovely fields so hes now balloned over night!! hes still looks a bit mouth eaten because hes been loosing his winter coat in chunks! but finally now lovely summer coat now starting to come through. so all things considered now too bad.

Bloody awful! Has been moved onto good grass since these pics taken 3 weeks ago and put a little condition on but her coat is shocking - she looks like a bearded mountain goat!
Unclipped all winter and she is 18 now but she's never looked so poor/dull.

Just coming back into work so hoping she improves condition soon and a good spruce up is on the cards for the weekend!

Ive had several that have lived out all winter. All i am very pleased with! They were fed and rugged according to individual needs, from nothing more than a LW and a tiny feed for one of them to 2 rugs and huge feeds for the old boy.

mine have radomly come out looking better this year than any other year. Think all that time stuck in filling their faces with haylage helped. This was them in March, will have to get some more taken with their lovely summer coats through!
