Hey guys,
As title really, Just curious as I am searching for my first horse, I have had horses on loan in the past and i have ridden for over 15 years but I have now started searching for my own, how exciting! X

My first 'proper' horse was an 8 year old TB ex-racer

The first pony I owned was 4 months old but she doesn't really count as although I broke her in I was always to big to ride her properly.

I still have them both now :)

hi, 1st was a pony age 12, second was a horse age 2 and still have him he is 20 now. but have others as well. i was 12 and he was 12 i thought that was cool he was also 12.2hhs. something about the 2's.

He was 8; now 21 and retired :( I wanted something to do me for the foreseeable future, but old enough to be established, so was looking at 5 - 8 year olds :)

My first horse was a 13 year old Tb, ex-racer with a serious screw loose  The first I owned I got at 4 1/2 months, I had her till she was 7 then she was stolen out of her field and I miss her still :(

My first horse was seven and I tragically lost him too soon at the age of 11. I bought my second horse last November and he was five. I wasn't really thinking of getting a youngster but S is mature for his age, and I bought him from my YO, definitely think I made the right choice now!

Not a clue how old my first pony was! He was supposed to be 12... we've had him for 10 years now and a few years ago the vet had a look at his teeth and told us that he definitely was not 12, but around the mid 20's!
I think he must be late 20's / early 30's now but he certainly does not look or act like it, puts the others to shame!

My first was a 3 yr old chestnut pony I bought off some travellers (actually swapped a car for him!) He was a star, the most bombproof animal I have ever met. Could take him anywhere, over flyovers, through subways, up & down steps, absolutely nothing phased him. Sadly sold him when I became pregnant :(

Star was exactly one week away from turning 11 when I bought her, and I lost her last year at 25+. Still missing her, lots.

Rising 4 :o

Perhaps not the most sensible for two people from a riding school one of whom is a nervous rider, but she's perfect :D

Went looking for a 8 - 10 year old gelding. But bought a 6 year old mare just loved her as soon as I saw her.
