Agnus Castus powder or seeds?

I'm currently not having much luck feeding my mare the powder. I wondered if the seeds would make any difference to the taste? Any experiences?

Yep, 2 of ours won't touch the powder but the seeds they will.

Ive only tried the seeds and she picked at them for a couple of days then kicked the bucket everywhere! I gave up but may try again with smaller amounts than I first tried and building it up. Mine is fussy though.

Mine has the seeds. She's very fussy and was not keen to start with but I have found mixing them with something tasty and dampening them works. They do seem quite effective, she is a lot less evil!

I had to start with a tiny sprinkle of the seeds then gradually build it up over about a 2 week period

I fed the seeds without any issue didn't make a blind bit of difference, mind but she did eat them quite happily

Apologies for picking up this 2 year old 'zombie' thread, but it carries on from a recent question about Oestress and the recommendation of Agnus castus in its place. Just wondering if anyone has any updates to add to this thread and what difference to what elements of your horse's behaviour it has assisted with.

I found it made no difference unfortunately when I finally managed to get my mare to eat it.

I gave the powder to my mare, introducing it gradually as when its new it has quite a strong smell, she eats is with no problem. I found it made quite a difference to her as she is rather randy and likes to spread her legs and drop her knickers in front of other horses and that all stops when she is on Agnus Castus. She is not nasty or bad tempered just very randy. I buy the Dodson& Horrell one and it last all summer she has a 15 mil scoop twice a day.
