Is Alfa A classed as a forage, and if so is it okay to feed pretty soon after work rather than having to wait for an hour like one does with hard feed?
Am looking to get some extra weight on my rather skinny horse, she's got plenty of muscle and an impressive back end but has had a hard six weeks and is looking a bit light. She's very picky so I don't want to change her off the cool cubes that she gets am and pm as she eats them with relish so want to give her an extra feed which because of timings would have to be after I've ridden so am thinking Alfa A (with added Lidl Oil) could be fed pretty soon after exercise, and is pretty nutritious.
Also, how beneficial do you think Alfa A is for weight gain?
