Hi, looking for Alfalfa free chaff for good doers…. Was suggested Thunderbrook, but after researching,(and admittedly being influenced by my reading) I’ve decided to look for a different brand…. Currently on Honeychop Lite and healthy,, but even with A handful of Denghie grass pellets they’re turning their noses up. Main reason for switching is trying to reduce their itchiness. Read lots of positives about Emerald Green feeds Grass Tastic . Agrobs seemed good, but pricey, also looking at Simple systems, but confused as to which one.

My gang like the Emerald Green stuff too. My nearest feed shop stocks Dengie so I've been using Dengie Meadow Grass for about a year which they think is super tasty as well. Not the Pure Grass, i didn't get on with that, it's too dry and clumps together but the Meadow Grass is lovely.

I would say if you’ve read what I think you read I completely understand you being put off Thunderbrook. However I would also say the feed was never the issue and the member of staff seems to have been fired. Ive used their chaff for many years, stopped for a while due to the customer service/abuse issue, but it does seem the one my horses like the best

Hi, yes, I read the thread….. I also read lots of people like yourself saying how much their horses liked it…. However I’ve made the switch to Grasstastic and they’re loving it…. Also, I’ve spoken with the guys from Emerald Green feeds several times over the years at your horse live, and always found them lovely. Slightly embarrassed to admit I was influenced by someth I read on line, but there was so much negativity, I felt it had to be partly true. Thanks for the reply though☺️

Funny you mentioned about the Dengie grass I got a bag a while back and it had clumps in it and they almost looked mouldy, my horses were eating around the clumpy bits so I started sorting through it and throwing them out I haven't bought another bag since

the meadow grass is totally different to the pure grass, i only got the pure grass by accident once... never again, but the meadow grass has been totally consistent, quality-wise and the horse all love it.

I hope you didn’t think I was supporting buying TB feed, if you read the post in question it was me who screenshotted the Facebook posts there in the first place. I stopped using them for that reason although have gone back as struggled to find an alternative which the horses approve of! Seems horses don’t care much for the character of those who run companies ?

Will have a look at Grasstastic though as I haven’t tried that! I would love to find an alternative
