Trigger is on the maximum dose of this at the minute (1.3 kg/day), as he needs to put on quite a bit of condition. So far he has been on it for three weeks, and we have seen some improvement.
He has had a worm count done, and he needed doing, so he has now been wormed, which will hopefully help; we are also starting to work him properly, so he will build up muscle and topline that way.
I have just bought the second bag of Outshine, I am hoping that this is all he will need. However, if it comes to needing more after this one is finished, what cheaper alternatives can people recommend.
So far I have seen:
Dodson and Horrell Build and Glow (got samples at Burghley) 15mj/kg at about £25/bag to be fed at 500 - 1000g per day.
Rowan and Barbury Sumo 24mj/kg about £25 for a 10kg bag to be fed at about 300g per day
Badmintons Triple Top Up 14.5 mj/kg about £25 for 20kg bag - think fed about 600g per day.
I am also aware there is micronised linseed etc.
Any comments on any of the recommendations above - looking at that it would seem perhaps the Sumo possibly best option; however the man on Badminton's stand at Burghley was most informative, and said his should work in a couple of weeks.
