I went to fetch my horse in last night, to do so I have to walk through another mare's field. This mare has not got the best of manners and tends to be a little bargey if you have any food.
However last night all I had was a headcollar and a bit of carrot in my pocket. She started walking towards me so I spoke to her saying something stupid along the lines of 'I'm not your mum, she is on the way with your tea'. Then said horse just turned on me and tried to barge into me. Failed to do anything so cantered round and literally took a run up and barged me into the air and landed flat on the floor.
I screamed and called for its owner, but although they heard me didnt bother coming over. I am 11 weeks pregnant and everybody on the yard is aware of this. So when I came out she just said 'oh how naughty I will tell her when I take her tea' then left me to it. I was covered in mud, shaking, and still had to change rugs and sort horse.
Now she has completely ignored me since!! I know it is not her fault but surely a text to see how I was or something?
I am soooo angry, my horse kicked out at another horse ONCE and is labelled dangerous but hers is fine!!!
Don't get me wrong I am not blaming her for what happened and I know that when I am entering other horses fields at my own risk, I dont want to claim compensation off her etc etc. I just think a text or a call to see how I was would have been nice!!!!
Grrr excuse my hormonal rantings!!!
