am I too big????

I am 26 but love ponies-so what do you think of this one? she is a 12yr old welshx. Not sure what with ? She is a little over 14hh and I weigh 8 1/2 stone 'ish' . am i too tall/heavy for her? I plan to do all sorts of stuff on her, hacking, schooling, bit of jumping, showing etc??? she is much prettier than in this picture, not very flattering for her

I am 5'6, 26 and 9.5 stone ish, with a 14.2 welshie. We do eveyrhting and have great fun.....I dont think I ever want a horse

Am 5.9 and i used to own a welsh x 14.3 pony, she was ace! i never felt big on her and she did and went everywhere, ponies are so much fun!
Theres a part of me hoping that heavy coblet will only make 14.2/14.3hh

not at all welshies like most natives carry weight well.
im 5ft 9, nearly 30 & 8stone (when not pregnant) & have 2 small pure welsh A's, one is 11h 1" & the other is 10H 3" & both cart me about like its nothing (thats not always a good thing!!!!!)

....never have a horse too big that you can't get back on if you fall off....

Nope you look an absolutely text book perfect fit on her. Most people ride horses that are bigger than they need (apart from my hubby who makes everything look tiny)
