Amazing! I'm enjoying showing!

Showing just isn't my thing anymore, I find it all a bit too intense and a bit bitchy and I had basically stopped doing it, but today I stood in the rain all day at a show and enjoyed every minute of it!

My friend's daughter has just turned seven and loves horses and has been desperate to join the other children at the local show. Problem is my friend has a youngster and I have four ex racers so no kids pony.

I do, however, have an 18 hand ex racehorse that is a saint so a few weeks ago she took him in a young handler class and won!! It made all of our days but has definitely started something!

Today it was a bit of a bigger show so we explained that there would be lots of horses there and that you couldn't expect to win everytime........... but this time they took reserve champion!!

This horse is my absolute world, he is an absolute legend and does everything from taking brides to weddings to western barrel racing! He is so kind and careful with this little girl and never gives us a moments concern. He means so much to me and many, many others.

She's obsessed with trotting him everywhere and he's such a dude and does a really lovely slow trot for her whilst her legs go like the clappers!!

We'll do the local one again I think but quite a lot of the other ones have height restrictions which I suppose is understandable. Will have to have a look though as she's mad keen!!
