AMERICAN COLLAR FOR DRESSAGE

Hi there, can anyone show me a picture of an american collar or what is acceptable as an american collar? I don't like things round my neck and I am looking for an alternative to having to wear a stock...? TIA.

What on earth is an american collar? I tried googling it didn't help i mostly found stock shirts.

Dizz4 what about a pre tied stock just velcro on and off?

They are stock shirts with a small white strip of cotton which goes on instead of a stock.

If you don't like things round your neck which I totally understand they are a lot less bulky and certainly a lot more comfortable in summer.

I'm a bit confused by the question what is acceptable, as they are pretty standard as far as I'm concerned.

I pretty sure it is a shirt with this type of collar, lots of variations but you get the idea. Saves wearing a stock but personally I prefer the look of a stock.

How is an American collar different from a ratcatcher?

It depends what you mean by ratcatcher in this context as here it would mean a tweed jacket (to be worn with either shirt and tie or coloured stock). Not an american collar..
