This is just a thought, and I don't know how big Henley market is, but is it worth getting in touch with the local Council and local Police. If the poor horses do end up being sent there then I can see it being absolutely pandemonium. There will be all those extra horses and horse boxes and I am sure there will be a lot more members of the general public who may be trying to bid for one of the ponies. Plus I am sure the media will probably be there as well. Surely the council would be concerned with health and safety issues and I can't see the Police being happy as I am sure there will be public order and parking issues. I was just wondering if it was worth making them aware as they may have a bit of clout if they objected. And is anyone local? Could local residents be made aware of all the chaos that may erupt and get them to get on to the council.
This may be a bit of a long shot, but anything to try and stop the horses being sent there.
