I have never see that video before. What an amazing horse to carry on- i hope the adrenaline numbed the pain. To say the horse locked on is rubbish- any horse ive known who has locked on to a fence usually has its ears forward for a start. The poor horse was changing leads and going disunited, so the stumbling excuse was cr*p too, ive never known a horse 'stumble' for that length of time. I wasnt there and i obviously wasnt riding the horse but that was blatantly obvious to me something was wrong

The other thing that i find really depressing is that when she finished she didn even pat the poor horse. I know the video finishes pretty quickly but she had more than enough time to give the poor chap a pat and a stroke. That says quite alot about her attitude to me. :(
 
If this video hadn't been posted the FEI would have done nothing at all about it. In their report they did mention the public interest caused by the video being posted.
 
I have only just watched the video and for her defense to be 'the horse locked onto the fence' I have had loads of horses lock onto fences but never from 30 strides away(I counted) and around a corner!.
no defense whatsoever imo, plenty of time to pull up and jump off.
 
she should be shot, if I ever met her I would turn away in disgust, and have you seen her ride? Heavy fat cow are the three words that come to mind, how she EVER gets any horses to ride I will never know

I will never forget seeing the video footage the first time, this woman should have been banned immediately, and to say the hadn't realised!!!! then she has no business riding horses.

The FEI are a joke, this last few years they have made bad decision after bad in every aspect... I think a new leader is called for, apparently the present one is having 'votes of no confidence' the FEI need to rethink every single thing they are supposed to stand for.

Amy Tryon would not be allowed to breathe the same air as my horses.
 
I saw the video for the first time yesterday and it made me feel phisically sick. I cannot believe she is still able to compete...what the hell was she thinking?? How selfish, greedy and uncaring can a person be. A disgrace to the horse world!
 
I feel very much the same as most of the posts on here, in my naive way I wonder is there anything we can do to stop this god damn woman riding at BE level again. Is there a petition we could put to the FEI or even petition the owners of the current horses she has to think again? It is so obvious she does not have the horse's interests at heart

she should never compete again in my book, she is a sick twisted person to not realize what that poor horse was trying to tell her

who in their right mind would send their precious horse to such an fat slob anyhow?
 
not sure what a petition over here will achieve. I know following the Le Samurai incident that petitions and several letters were sent to USEF,and these made no difference.If they cant stop her riding in her own country what can you do
 
I don't think she does get much respect from the general eventing community in the States since this happened. But somehow she has managed to keep the door open to the "powers that be". And to add insult to injury, for the rest of us, today it was announced that she will be on the Search Comm. to find a replacement for Capt. Phillips. Not sure which one is the most twisted- the USEF or the FEI!?
