I'm so sorry. What a terrible waste of a talented horse and friend.

It won't be any consolation to you, but this year has been an awful one for serious colics apparently. Many more seen and a lot of them lost too but there doesn't seem to have been any particular pattern to them.

It makes me so scared as my young mare had colic surgery 2 months ago and i am still traumatised by the whole experience, she had mild colic again 2 weeks ago, as someone else said above, there was no reason for it at all.
