I met Andy and Chloe to day and know they will be checking up on here for updates on the horses. It was thanks to their inspired intervention of posting on here that those horses are now in a safe place being cared for.

They have been told many times today what a good thing they have done and that they should rightly feel very proud of themselves and their actions. They are not 'horsey' people but recognised it wasn't right and tried to do the right thing for the horses.

So a big thanks to them both - again!! They restore you faith in human nature!!

Very well done to Andy and Chloe and everyone involved. I missed the start of the saga and by the time I was aware of it, the horses had already been moved to a place of safety. It's great to hear that things can be done and quickly when the right people are involved.

What they did was above and beyond my belief in human nature, and that is an awesome thing

I think i am trying to say it is soooo good to know that there are non horsey people out there that do not go around with their eyes shut!!
And Andy should be proud that his actions have hopefully saved those horses lives!!

Well done to all concerned!!!xx

I dont quite know what to say....

There are quite a lot of active threads about the events of the last 24 hours, i dont even know which one to post in - i have just spent ages reading them all.

I still find it quite hard to believe how this whole saga snowballed ... within 24 hours, thousands of people around the globe were made aware of the situation, hundreds of pounds has been raised, and most importantly the horses have been taken away and are now being cared for properly. I find that amazing. I only posted the original thread as a last resort - at best, hoping for a phone number or something

Unfortunately I was not at the sit-in myself today as I had to work, (although i was phoning chloe throughout the day for updates) and arrived back just before the lorry arrived to take the horses away, which was a very relieving sight

To the poster who guessed that Mr X was an ugly fat ******, was absolutely right! When he arrived, the atmosphere did become rather tense, but the RSPCA and police officers handled the situation professionally. I do hope that they do not let him get away with this.

To the poster who offered us one of her little horses, please delete the message- if chloe sees the post, I wont hear the end of it!!!!!!!!!!!!

We shall be popping down regularly to check on the other two ponies that are still there, with plenty of treats. As far as I am aware, unless further action is taken, the two remaining are still under Mr X's ownership. Im not sure if it is right to post photos of them in the future, but would be able to send images privately if people would like to keep a (virtual) eye on them.

Anyways, on behalf of chloe and myself, thanks to all the activists, supporters, rescuers, well-wishers and everybody else who has gotten involved, especially the hard-core who were there all day until the bitter (well, sweet) end.

It has been amazing hasn't it

The HHO community really proves itself in times like this and what an outcome

Well done again to you and Chloe, for want of a better phrase, for being the two snowflakes to start off the snowball

I have finally managed to log on!! I have no internet at home since this morning (am at my sisters now) and it has been driving me insane all day not knowing what was going on for these poor horses.

Well done to Andy and Chloe for bringing this all to light but also a huge well done to the BHS for acting so exceptionally quickly to ensure these horses get the help that they deserve.

I am thrilled to hear that these horses are getting help and just hope and pray that it isn't too late for them.

Now, all people/parties responsible for what has happened to these horses MUST be dealt with in the appropriate ways. Absolutely disgusting for these two poor horses to end up in such a truly awful and heartbreaking state.

Also, big well done to HHO, fantastic work

Andy (and Chloe)

Great to hear from you both, hope your sitting with a nice cold glass of something bubbly!

You really can be credited with saving the lives of these horses from Mr X, I wish there were more people like you around!

Oh, by the way, did nobody tell you.....since you made the original post......carrot and spud will be coming to you?

Lol, only joking. If Chloe wants a horse, she can have one of mine! hell, have two, one each....

^^^What everyone has said! So wonderful to know there are people who don't turn a blind eye and keep on pushing for the right outcome even when "respected", "expert" organisations knock them back.

Here's to doing the right thing!!

Andy and Chloe - I don't know what to say except that I woke up smiling this morning knowing that those two horses were not starting the morning facing another day of complete misery but were warm and safe, comfortable and with food and water. Not ashamed to say I was a little teary thinking about it.

Can't thank you enough for seeing this through

Thank you and well done Andy and Chloe. I am still in awe of you having the initiative to bring this to HHO forum. Even more amazed how in such a short time an operation was launched to save those poor horses. Unbelievable. Well done to everyone involved and the support back here on the forum with those that couldnt attend was amazing too.
