I have just phoned about a horse i have seen which is advertised as being wonderful, safe, bombproof etc etc. was chatting to the girl selling the horse and mentioned where i keep my current horse and she said 'oh, this horse used to be kept at your yard about a year ago'. By this point she had told me that they had had the horse for a year and she had been competing on it for the past year. So i phoned YO to ask if she remembers the horse, and it turns out it is a horse who was sold by a lady from the yard about 6 months ago and was promptly sent back because it broncs for britain. it was then sent away again to be sold because YO did not want another set of angry people turning up at the yard demanding to return it. So obviously the girl who is selling it has not had it for a year and is covering up this problem. I just dont know why people cant be honest when selling horses, it makes me so angry because people complain about buyers being timewasters, but if people actually advertised their horse turthfully they would not get people turning up expecting one thing and then finding something completely different. bending the truth on adverts could be downright dangerous because whoever buys this horse is expecting a steady needy and might get hurt! sorry, rant over!
