so angry right now!!
i person i know
(he is not a friend just a person i know (sadly) )
i told him i would like a coloured for my next horse (which i do)
but due to my knee injury i have to look for a slimmer horse then my past
(sadly had to sell my heavy weight coloured cob in April, he was so wide he didn't fit in a trailer unless you take the partition out, so very wide)
and this person
(i am trying not to loss my top and name him as i know its not really right to name him)
said that "a coloured to me is a big fat horrible gypsy cob"
WHICH I DO NOT AGREE WITH!!!
i love gypsy cobs don't get me wrong at all!!
but not every coloured horse is one!!
just because his mummy and daddy have brought him a fancy Frisian
(apparently know no believes him since we have never seen it)
doesn't mean any coloured horses are not beautiful!! Also does not mean they are not as good as any horse he owns!!!!

ok sorry about the rant, i am a big coloured lover and got very angry!!

Well to be fair you do say that your last coloured was so wide he didn't fit in a trailer. So I think your friend's description is pretty accurate apart from the bit about horrible.

Well block him on facebook or whereever it is he's commenting. And don't descend to his level by casting aspersions on his Fresian. Above all, if you cba to block him just don't react. It's far to tempting to wind people up when they go off like you do, in fact i was tempted myself.

Ignore him - he really is not worth getting upset about. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and just because his is misinformed does not mean you have to get so angry about it.

I'm a coloured lover too, and am feeling quite smug today - I took my little 14.2hh piebald mare to the hunt fun day, and came 4th out of 13 in chase-me-charlie against the big hunters (we were out at 1.20m - my fault for getting in too deep)!! Afterwards someone said "when I first saw that pony I didn't think it would jump 18 inches, but she's changed my opinion of coloured cobs!" So I am a very proud mum today. I love it when people underestimate my lovely pony, and she proves them 100% wrong!
I also have a red&white hunter type youngster, and love how striking his colouring is.
Don't listen to this idiot, get yourself a lovely coloured horse that will probably kick his imaginary friesians arse! x

Fat enough, Nailed?
(don't hurt me, she was on a strict diet and had already lost 3 inches off her tummy... We got her as a resale morbidly obese and sold her as just a bit plump!)

If he annoys you, smile and block him. I don't hugely like Friesians tbh, but wouldn't bother saying so. He gets a rise out of you, must make his day!

If that's all you've got to get worked up about then lucky you!

That is his opinion, you have yours which happens to be different, that's life I'm afraid.

Have to be honest here - everytime I read one of your posts they make me think you are about 15yrs old so I give you the benefit of the doubt. Tonight though I had a look and if you have been to college you are not that young.

So as someone else said, if this is all you have to be angry about you have no problems at all.

Sounds like you really need to get a life!! Why on earth would you get so angry about his comments - he's only expressing an opinion!!! I don't like cobs but love coloured Warnbloods, are you upset by that?

Personally I don't like fresians very much but that is just VERY PERSONAL so no jumping on me!

Up until about 15 years ago coloureds were very much (generally!!) looked down upon but have recently become very very fashionable and popular.

I have always liked them as my first pony was a greyed out coloured - gorgeous boy that jumped anything put in front of him!

If this boy irritates you that much a. tell him b. avoid him c. run away when you see him d. move to the mainland ...

oh fgs just tell him to go do one if you don't like the bloke, life is far too short to bother getting yourself wound up by someone who you don't even like!!

Well, to add to your anger I greatly dislike fat, overweight, gypsy cobs. Big heads, short necked, straight shoulders and not built for riding but for pulling carts.
I do, however, love a true riding cob, TBs, and a good Irish hunter.

That is what I feel, am I going to fall out with you over it? No way, each to their own and that is the way it should be.
If you rise to someone who disagrees with your likes then you are in for a miserable life.

I think there is some sexual tension here! Get drunk, call him up and give him what for and then tell him you want to *&%^ his brains out!

(otherwise - just forget about it - worse things happen! - try having 12 livery customers!)

Yes! She was Cindy when she came to us for Al to school as she kept bolting/ bucking by all acounts- never did with us, was a total sweetheart in every way all the time. We called her Cinders, simply because Cindy seemed obscene on such a non-barbie pony! How did you know her?

What, you don't agree that his opinion is that he doesn't like coloured horses as they remind him of fat, horrible, gypsy cobs.. That is HIS OPINION! Not everybody likes exactly the same things in life you know.....

If what you have written in this post is all you have to worry about then my opinion is that you are a very lucky person indeed!

I don't understand why everyone is being so nasty to Christmas star, at the end of the day she has posted this because she feels angry and upset and I think ur comments probably aren't making her feel much better. I understand everyone has there different opinions on horse breeds, the ones they like and ones they don't! Coloured cobs aren't fat because they choose to be there fat because there owners don't no how to feed them as they basically live on fresh air, at the end of the day any animal that is fat or to skinny is because owners don't care for them correctly !

I don't see anyone being nasty.

CS is angry and upset because someone she knows (although she wishes she didn't) doesn't like the same type of horses as her.

I just don't see the problem.

It's a fact of life that your dream horse will be someone else's nightmare. So what?
Another fact of life; Nothing ticks people off more than you not giving a rat's bottom what they think. SO, enjoy your horse and ignore the sad gits who try to drag you down. It's THEIR problem not yours.
