Pictures Annnnnd it's snowing

2 weeks ago was lovely. Dry sunny and relatively warm. Field was drying out and grass growing. Days getting longer, woot we might be getting there. Last week snow, then sleet, then rain and gale force winds, then more sleet and add a bit more rain and even more wind. Field back to a bog and miserable horses.

I can't remember seeing any snow this season... I'm trying to avoid using the W word.

We had a few nights of well below freezing temperatures, and then the weather turned warm and then really unseasonably warm: 17°C on 1 February.

And all this with solidly grey overcast skies and occasional drizzle or mizzle.

We had snow for one day recently, but mostly it's just been gales every day. ☹

I haven't ridden since mid December. I've decided to plant a thick hedge all the way round my school for next year. At the moment its open to the elements and riding in there in high winds is basically trying not to die for half an hour!

we have a tall (12 ft?) thick evergreen hedge around the school.... great for weatherproofing, not so great for hedge monsters ;) and I really miss having a breeze in summer.

Hope you don't get a big dump of snow, Trinket.

Oh gosh yes....hadn't considered hedge monsters!

Not sure hedge monsters will make for a more relaxing ride than gale force winds!
