Another "she's here" post!

Buckskin filly foal born at 1 am last night. Quick and textbook delivery. Stud did a great job at delivery and I was able to be there for the end as well. All milestones quickly reached. IgG test tonight. Mare is Royaldik/Primitive Proposal. Sire is Killour Star (a Barrowby Connemara). Early days but all seems well and so glad not to have to be on foaling standby anymore. Never again!

Yes, I think I will keep her at least till 4. I have mare's previous foal so it will be lovely to have a little family group! So, so happy my mare is OK. Early days though.

Tulira Darog , got to meet him at the stallion show . Just loved his attitude. Plus the owner showed me photos of him giving bareback rides to children . That did it for me

I do feel incredibly lucky. So many things can go wrong during foaling - but didn't. The mare didn't even break a sweat. Fingers crossed they stay well.

I thought the same , and had weirdly enough (initially) chosen the same sire as you . But then met TD and the fact he’s called Jimmy made me rethink I’ve got 3 greys so whats one more

Omg I have said for years that if I lost all common sense and put my mare in foal it would be to Tulira Darog! So jealous you got to meet him in person he looks like an absolute dream.

That is a very bay looking foal are you absolutely certain shes buckskin?

Yes, we think so. She has a dorsal stripe. Happy with bay though as well.
