Has anyone given their horse a short course of Gastrogard without scoping first, under vets advice, then scoped to check at the end of the course with a successful outcome?
Horse has started on it but it is probably not going to be able to be considered a separate condition, it is most likely the result of being treated for an injury, which has maxed out the insurance , vets want to continue at 1/4 dose after 1 week on full dose, without scoping how will we know when to stop, he is still on box rest, walking out to start soon but weeks possibly a month or two away from proper turnout or work.
Any ideas or experiences welcome as my head is struggling as to which way to go, not much confidence in the vets at the moment so needing as much info as possible before the next step.
