Soo....all was well again last night and this morning/afternoon. Saw the vet this morning, told him he was "normal" at the moment and he declared him fit and healthy and clearly "feeling well" (I couldn't keep the blighter still!)
So, almost like clockwork he has gone runny again after 6pm. Nothing in his routine has altered but this is the third night in the row he's been like this. He's definitely not eating snow, only outside to do his business before he wants to go back in.
He has four very small meals a day at the moment, so as not to overfill him. He is hungry, very keen to eat, looks for more when he's finished. Drinking as normal.
There is no added frequency to him going for a number 2 and he will cry and howl when he needs to go out, perfectly capable of holding it. It's just very loose.
Last week he swapped from James Wellbeloved Turkey and Rice to Duck and Rice. Could it be this? I did the swap over 4 days but he's been on just Duck and Rice for about four days now.
I do have the Lamb and Rice and another Turkey and Rice bag. Would it be worth putting him back on the Turkey and Rice to see if he suddenly becomes consistently firm again? As I say, he's fine during the day though, which makes me think it can't really be the food as such.
I'm at a loss. The vet said he was growing well, looks perfectly healthy blah blah and not to worry. Problem is running poohs every evening isn't normal is it?
