Sixteen months ago I bought a TB with seedy toe under his shoe. I treated it with hydrogen peroxide, which has always worked for me before. It didn't this time. I cut it out as far as I dared without a farrier, and there were still two tiny black spots visible. I hoped I'd taken enough away to kill it with peroxide this time. No such luck.
I bought a specialist hoof bleach, Cleantrax and used it every two weeks for eight weeks. Still there.
So I bought Red Horse Hoof Stuff, a mix of fibres, manuka honey and zinc paste. It stuck in the holes brilliantly and I changed it once a week, twice as it got shallower and began to fall out. And millimeter by millimeter the two holes got shallower, and today the last of it wore off on the road.
I've never had such a problem with deep seated white line disease. 10/10 for Red Horse Hoof Stuff.
