Morning all,

got my boy back on track thank goodness just took time and patience. He is lovely when hacking and very relaxed.

he is great in the arena however his bending and circles are not great so looking for any suggestions for people to follow, watch etc for ideas of exercises (we also do a lesson once a week)

also looking if there are any good apps that can track your exercises and what you have done each day, also that may provide some advice, tips etc in a general term

Gosh what a great idea. If there isn’t such an app, there should be. Don’t have anything to add except maybe carrot stretches?

Wouldn’t it be such a good idea?

even just like an app for a daily diary where you can track what you have fed them, length of turnout they have had, what exercise eg. Ridden- what was done and for how long or lunged etc.

just keeps more accountable and also leads to ability to see improvement or see areas that you may be lacking on etc to help with improvement

then if it had sections with a few videos or ideas for ground work, grid work, jumping etc

just think it would be so beneficial

I can't help with an app but I find lots of useful videos by searching ' riding masterclass' 'schooling masterclass' etc on YouTube - I'm not sure why but that word seems to do the trick!

I also like a lady called Amelia Newcombe who has lots of exercises to try on YouTube

For flatwork you could check out Dressage with Georgia, we used some of her exercises for HHO virtual clinic during the first lockdown when no one could go for lessons etc.
She now does some schooling packages with various themes, I've not used any of them but i really liked the way she put the free exercises together on FB so it might be something that works for you.

I use Ridely to track my horses exercise, plus farrier and vet appointments. They also do have videos and idea of exercises you can do, plus goal setting tools
