Horsey had a Mctimoney session today, and I've been told to obtain some heavy poles for exercises. Guess I'm going to be getting some exercise as well lugging these around

.

I've found the nice expensive £40 each plastic coated wooden poles, any suggestions for cheaper versions. key thing is that they need to be heavy.

Thanks

go to your local wood fencing person. they will sell you 12 foot long poles of varying dimension for 15 to 20 per pole. you could buy half rounds of good weight for less. why do yiou want plastic coated poles? guess work suggested is lunging over raised poles?

We got our poles from a local timber merchant. They are 12 foot long and 4 inches wide so very heavy! Think they were about £9 each incl delivery. I painted them myself on a nice afternoon

Thanks everyone.

OK so I'll toddle off to local timber merchant and brace myself for some"decorating".

The poles don't need to be plastic coated - though they do look very convenient.

We need to start with walking poles, and then start raising.
