Don't worry about it!!

We've had him for ages, must be 10 years now. And he is 14 very soon to be 15 years young! He was originally my sisters jumping horse. He then did both suspensories in the field, so was box rest/out of work for over a year. She then brought him back into work and started dressage with him, and then handed him to my mum as a schoolmaster. I sold my jumping turned dressage pony to further my education and am just getting back into the full time swing of things!

This year, I'm aiming for consistent schooling and consistent elementary scores. Hopefully, I will get the chance to (with uni and being abroad for 2 weeks) maybe to do a medium by the end of the season.

I wear a hat all the time but believe it is OP's right to do as she pleases, her head whatever anyone else thinks and she started her post with please avoid and don't comment if it is something you don't like to see?

I just feel it is best left alone, there's lots of other things you can contribute to?

No. I will not. Just because you and you daft sister believe that you are such great riders and Bruce at al are such well behaved horsies that nothing bad will ever, ever happen to you belies the intelligence your posts sometimes convey.

You can put MrsB on user ignore- so whatever she posts, you can't see. Seems that she just annoys you and you just annoy her so might as well alleviate your annoyance a tad by ignoring hers properly!

Bruce looks lovely, and especially trim- you only get 2 weeks for uni holidays? :O I get 4, and have finally started riding again :D

Are you headed anywhere with him soon?

I am headed to Vale View this Saturday, and then Swallowfield for my trailblazers second rounds 2 weeks after, excited!!!

Or, you no longer aggravate each other. If you hear they have fallen off and smashed their head's open you can feel avenged, if they don't then all bumbles on as ever and you'll be none the wiser. Win win?

Look- I think riding without a hat is madness for me. I'll fall off at anything, and I need my brain fully functioning cos it's crap at the best of times. BUT they are educated women who have made their choice. Leave them to it. No skin of anyone's nose at all...

nikkimariet- Ohh, I get 10 weeks holiday in the summer so I suppose it all balances out. And I felt rather silly, because Thomas (the ginger giant) is 17.2hh heavyweight hunter type who is carrying 'winter weight'... I'm 5'2 on tiptoes, so looked very much like a pea on a drum! Was quite impressed we managed a trot!! Good luck with your qualifiers :)

For people talking about the 'hatless' thing - I'm at the tender and impressionable age of 17, and people not wearing hats infuriates me, and definitely does not make me want to take mine off too. I personally am a strong believer that unless you feel you can make a difference, your mouth should be kept shut. I respect people's personal decisions to not wear a hat, and it is very clear that in this situation no one's minds are going to be changed/old habits reformed. This has been done to death, and everyone on HHO is aware. Because of this, ultimately I see any comments about hatlessness here as a personal attack towards the OP and her sister, which I think is unnecessary and unfair :(
 
But Lolo, it is skin off other's noses. It is grief and sadness for those that love them and the fact that they ARE educated makes it worse.

I have looked after someone with brain damage (dementia) who had no choice and it was completely and utterly heartbreaking....

They have a choice. And they DO know better - it is obvious in their responses. And if they did fall off, the last thing I would ever feel is avenged. I would feel terribly sad that I didn't put my argument across better. I would have failed.

Am utterly miserable now and hate sticking my neck out. But I really feel it is important. :( Good night.

:) Thankyou, that made me smile. I am really trying hard to keep naughty hands and naughty right dipping shoulder under control so that me and Bruce can improve!

Well said. Since joining just before Christmas I've been PM'd on a number of occassions, each time calling me a b**** and a t*** or some other expletive, saying that they hope I fall off, die and 'prove them right'. Which has had me in tears. If a user cannot post something nice, or something constructive/useful/helpful/enlightening.....I really wish they would just avoid my threads.

Seeing a reply to another Mrs B post - I guess she is still commenting. Which is unfair. I have pre-warned of hatless pictures. You are hijacking my thread, upsetting and infuriating me. Just please leave me alone.
 
Oh give it a rest! Personally I always wear a hat because I have a horse who is prone to dangerous behaviour, and my other one is a youngster....so I choose to wear a hat.

However, all this self righteous shite trying to force what YOU believe on someone else is making ME want to ride without a hat just to piss you off!

If they want to ride hatless, what business is it of yours? You seem so concerned about the people who may end up looking after them should the worst happen, but ultimately it won't be YOU who has to do the looking after, so just back the hell off FFS!

Bruce looks fabby! I love love love that match set! I might have to show BabyGrey some piccies of Bruce to show him how he's going to look when he's all growed up!
