I think they made it coincide with the calendar year when they changed the qualifying periods. From what I can remember they didn't use to be Jan - Jun, Jul - Dec. To be honest the rules change so often, it's hard to keep up!!

My dressage riding academic friend K has a paper under review based on these findings - she did a survey while at PC Australia about how girls and women felt about riding in pale breeches while having their period. 80% wanted the option of dark breeches. So, great news.

I think grey is a good choice, works for BS too and should complement any jacket.

Looks like BE will allow for all three phases too from 2024

I saw someone a while back with a blue jacket, fairly dark tan breeches and dark brown boots. I covet the look and plan to copy it if I ever actually get myself back to competing.

Equestrian clothing was already a lucrative business. Whole new level of busy-ness ahead for them now. Total fashion show ahead. Looking forward to seeing the winning combo (clothing)and fails!
