I know I've posted about her before but I can't get her over 11.3kg, she's recently had blood and urine tests and for a 14yr old they where fine.

At the moment her eating is ok and she is having 3/4 small meals a day cause I can't overface her so I need something high in calories that can be given in small amounts.

At the moment she is on - JW puppy dry food (there's no hope of giving her the amount she's meant to have though) 50-75g is the most I can get in her a day. She also has hilife moist meaty things that she quite likes. And I add either a tin of applaws or some natures menu to each meal to get her to eat it.

Thanks xx

Add some vegie oil, a few slurps into the meal, or try food source with a stronger smell, have a look at fish 4 dogs, they also sell bottle of salmon oil and the food is very good quality 70% fish, I have a puppy on it, and she loves it.

My old whippet was a fussy boy, but he thrived on pasta, raw tripe, mackerel fillets, pilchards & rabbit pieces. Dry food can become a bit samey,I think, you just need a variety for them to become more interested & the smellier, the better!:)

will she eat raw..breast of lamb is great to put on weight

how high is she..my black whippy is approx 19-19 1/2 inch and she weighs between 11.3-12 kg at her heaviest,
and as she 14 they do tend to eat smaller meals and dont put the weight on as a younger dog..try her on more several meals..5/6 meals to keep her eating

hope this helps

Good old tripe! Get it out of the freezer from your local pet shop, they sell it in blocks the size of mince you get in the supermarket. After 2 weeks my dog looked in show condition! It is pretty stinky but i don't know any dog thats refused it! It puts on weight like nothing else, your dog will also have a shiny shiny coat
