Anyone else keeping their horse out in this horrid rain or is it just me. Always feel just a little bit guilty driving away when its like this, especially when other start bringing theirs in and I start to doubt keeping her out.

Anyone else as horrid as me!!

Thank GOD people who agree with me I dont feel as bad. She does have her rug on and a field shelter with hay in it. So bascially a penthouse, with room service already there in her field, whatever am I worrying about.
Cheers

My Welsh Cob and 2 year old warmblood are both out in it- youngster is naked and horse has flyrug on. Both are warm as toast and only soggy. 85% of the horses in our field are rugged tho

It's the middle of May, it seems madness!

Merlin is out with no rug and no proper field shelter

As long as the horse is rugged and has plenty to eat then they'll be fine.

All 3 of mine are out, were last night too, the mare has a LW rug on as she is a bit of a wuss but the other 2 are nakey!!!
Plenty of hay to munch on and just left them with full bellies.
Its the first nights they have been left out this summer but the muck tailor is heaving and cant empty it till tomorrow

I have two horses out in this horrid rain. One has a sweetitch rug; the other has no rug. I don't think that is anywhere near cruel and I am not going to rug them for a bit of rain. I would rather they were wet than hot. Both of them are happy as larry out playing in their big field. A bit of rain will not hurt them.

All 3 of mine live out 24/7 but have field shelters and 2 are wearing lightweight rugs and to be honest they would prefer to be out than in...if I did bring them in they just stand at the door waiting to go out.

both mine are out with no rugs on. there is plenty of natural shelter if they fancy... but guess what they are grazing fully exposed in the torrential rain and they look like they dont even know its pouring!!!

Mine are out 24/7, no field shelter but lots of natural shelter. The Fjord is naked and the cob has a LW on, mainly to keep the white bits white. They would much rather be out then in.

My two were eager and fighting to get out into the field - rain or no rain - and it was absolutely torrential!

They were happy as anything - both like drowned rats when they came in but they did what they chose to do

Osk is out, but he is in a medium weight rug. He was quite happy going back out after being worked today, even though it was chucking down. I did feel awful last night though when it was positively torrential and thundering too
