Mine are in. Yearling doesn't have enough fat on her to withstand 50 mph winds and torrential rain

Not sure my fencing is going to stand up to it either

Yep, my old boy has always lived out, due to his poor state after beng on loan ( see previous post) he has a light weight on, if it had been normal circumstances he would be naked.

He has quite a thick wooded area he can do in which is generally quite dry, but he was not even in that today even with the rain and thunder he prefered to get soggy, as my boyfriend says' they will not shrink'

Mine has been out 24/7 in a field with natural shelter since last Saturday. He's been naked since the end of March and loving it

Although he is in tonight as we're going showing tomorrow - he had a bath and is still naked tonight - he's not impressed, lol!

Both mine are out and naked!
Though i felt awful this morning the spotty monster was shivering a bit, but i knew if i brought him in he'd scream the place down coz he was on his own. And i didnt want to put a rug on a soaking wet ned!
Went back up to check him later and he'd warmed up so i left him to it

Mine are out and no rugs - both were clipped out. If pony shivers hopefully she will lose weight! They are designed to live outside!

Mines out with her LW on, also I'm looking after someone elses horse until Sunday and he is out with his LW on too. I start a new job Monday and I'm not spending my last 2 days of freedom mucking out stables!

I really wouldn't worry about that at all. Lightweight rug and no issues. My horse is in at night but that is due to livery arrangements. I would have no issues at all him being out 24hrs a day in this season. Not cold weather after all.

Mine is out with a rain sheet on. He's fine. Not only that...one of the horses in the field got colic yesterday, he's fine but the majority of my horse's field mates' owners (gosh apostrophe test there) have now brought theirs in/moved them on to starvation paddocks in panic. So I am bad mummy on 2 counts now

brought the girls up tonight - lil is in foal and was really asking to come in, for some comforts!! normally they live out regardless....but as the paddock they are in at the mo has very little shelter i decided to bring them in, my welsh cob is still out though.

Thank GOD people who agree with me I dont feel as bad. She does have her rug on and a field shelter with hay in it. So bascially a penthouse, with room service already there in her field, whatever am I worrying about.
Cheers

No problems, hardly cruel, does she look miserable? Mine (arabs and foals included) live out in -20C and 2' of snow for months on end with just MW's, they haven't died from it yet.

Stace your an evil mum! Poor Stella left out in all that rain! :L
Usy missed her stable mate as she was all cosy in her stable. Only joking I actually think Stella likes being out now. Definately not a typical home bred horse eh?
Cya after my exams. x
