Any single horsey men use this site....dating section maybe!!!

ok im thinking a horse and hound personals section.....in the magazine as well! just like they have in newspapers!
and also a section on the website where you can view photos and have a profile! at least we would be reaching out to the same type of people as non horsey people dont really come on this site!

good ideas but no silly price either!!

I can't believe you OH make you either get off in the water or give up your horse for them that is never right, and as for loading horse up while he sleeps etc, he would have arrived to find his own horse still at home!

I would agree, only it is their job to keep up and control hounds, and as much as I would sometimes find it amusing, I'm sure OH would have difficultly running after a pack of foxhounds. I don't mind cutting my days short to make sure he always has a sound, fit horse- after all, I'm just out for the social- I can continue that long after I've put the horses away. I'm just saying that having a horsey OH has its downsides.

should i set up a new post....saying " males only, must be single, leave details here to be pm'd"!!!!

Maybe there are no single males here....hmmmmmmm

such a good idea - i am in!!!! ;) Have you assessed as to where we are going to find these "older" men?! Might have to lure them in from a forum from elsewhere..... Not sure what I want my ideal blokes main hobby to be... Not football (loathe it), maybe a rugby, horseracing, wine appreciation site?!!

DominoBrown - what's wrong with young/old farmers?! Untrodden territory for me!!

Im 40 something, male, own horses, box and house, and would like someone to disprove my theory
that all horsey ladys are either mad or golddiggers .... anyone ????

Oh dear. You have the same cynical outlook my boyfriend has!! He has his own house and incidently has a six-figure salary. However, I buy my own horses, pay for my own horses, car, house, holidays. He's 8 yrs older than I am and i'm late 20s.

I like it this way and so does he. The most I get out of him is dinner which extends to fish and chips or posh meals from Waitrose!

And yes, i'm quirky, so definitely fall into the mad bracket I guess! Strangely, this doesn't bother him that i'm rather odd!

Maybe you need to find yourself a nice lady and make it clear you're not a meal ticket and that you don't ever intend paying for her horse or letting her use your lorry (check she has licence to drive it first though in case she swipes it!!!!) :D

Does he have a brother :p Only messing! I too pay for everything - I am FAR too stubborn to let any man pay for things I want to do. I love cooking (shop in Waitrose) and don't want to drive a lorry (not even a really flash one)!!

Any man reading this thread might be shaking in his boots ;) all these hungry wild horsey women  at least us horsey blokes understand where you are coming from. Most of the guys I chat to think you must be mad to get involved with a hosey woman  I don't agree !! previous partners wanted shed loads of handbags/shoes etc.... and be out with there mates and having the single life with said bloke waiting in the wings  WRONG

Give and take is the easy answer I reckon :p but blokes don't seem to get it, but maybe I'm just older and wiser ;) and don't give a t*** about all that macho nonsense. I have loads of female friends and thats best for me as I sometimes understand them better than blokes  My closest male friend is horsey and now single ~ and yes I am going to sign him up on here tomorrow evening once I sort his internet out.

Climbs off soapbox ;) have a nice day ladies and look forward to more banter with you all :D:D

I love this thread - so true!

but couple of points - 1. all you lot thinking about "extending" your horizons to middle aged farmers please don't - us middle aged ladies don't need our pond shrinking!

and you lot keep going on about the reaction to boots and whips - so its just me who gets quizzed about my inner thigh muscles then?!

I don't have cats, I do have 2 (little) staffies and a bunch of extremely OTT friends, do earn my own money and the animals spend it. Rugby bu**er with GSOH would suit me JUST fine!!

Here we are in action

AMEN! Started off rather intrigued by the thread however it appears that the criteria to be the 'perfect single horsey bloke' seems rather difficult, we are only human after all...! Have always found non - horsey women 2 be much easier to handle all in all, is there a sex divide here somewhere (no rants please!)?!?

btw what does OH stand for?!?

well I am not mad well maybenot quite, though I do wonder at 6am on wet cold sunday mornings when I leave my warm bed , chuck old clothes on rouse the dog, and drive to the yard(sometimes 1st one there) to sort out 3 horses. I cant even ride mine yet for another 4 weeks(gained weight) have own house, horse box just that husband conked out on me last year bless his soul XX!! Golddigger !!!!!!!! nooooooooo dont even do lotto. Dont think any sane man would put up with my lifestyle now.

Two peas in a pod!! I just need the human child!! I have my babies but they are my pussy cats. I think a dating section is a great idea. Just need to make sure honest, genuine, hot, entertaining men access it. Not sure those verbs can all go towards a male human?!!! :D

How shall we lure these said men into the forum? Do they even exist??

I would be quite happy with one who just knows how to muck out and will drive me and the Barmy One to the places i want to go.

oh yeah they must be HOT too!!

How depressing, thanks Kev.

*Leaves room to go buy some cats...*

I thought this was a worthy thread to post my first post on ... it's had me chuckling away for a while now - especially dominobrown's post above!
I'm only in my 20's but I'm already preparing myself for a trip to the local cat rescue, so I reckon a dating section is a cracking idea :p

He does, although is in his late 40s and makes 6 times the six figure my other half does!!! A family with a money tree I feel. My (much!) better half has offered to buy me a whole load of land if i can find some in the vicinity, but i've not taken him up on it. Yet! Wait until i'm pig-sick of the brats on the yard and then i'll bite his hand off! Hahahaha!

Going to think about the luring..... Good food, a beer and big boobs might help? I can't help with the last one! :p Hot is good - no point being with someone you don't find physically attractive!

Late 40's is fine if he's cool to have children now?! I don't want my children to have a really old Mum or Dad! You're OH sounds like a super man. How generous to offer you that - I've struggled to find one who'll buy me a G&T if they're in the pub before me!! As for screaming brats..... I couldn't cope!!!

There is somebody for everyone ~ we just may not find them in our first lifetime :(

Kev
Thank's Kev - thoroughly suicidal...... I have 4 cats so where do I go now? :(

Nothing wrong with cats ;) maybe we all aim too high who knows, relationships are c**p when there is no communication and compromise :mad::mad: don't I know it :(

But at least we have our horses or cats  to keep us out of the looney bin :D
