Any single horsey men use this site....dating section maybe!!!

Nothing wrong with cats ;) maybe we all aim too high who knows, relationships are c**p when there is no communication and compromise :mad::mad: don't I know it :(

But at least we have our horses or cats  to keep us out of the looney bin :D

Kev

Hee hee!! What would we do without our 4 legged beasties! :D Much happier now as was heading for the gin bottle - minus the pussy cats as they are 15,000 miles away at the moment :(

Lol! There are single straight horsey men out there... and they can be found without the help from the internet ;) Honest!! Though I was starting to think they were a myth... ;)

LOL! It's just all about being a bit outspoken... or having a "helpful" friend who is outspoken for you :p ;) Farriers are often good at this....lol!!

I'm not saying much though, will see how it goes ;) :p

I don't care if i find another half who actually like horses....

...just one that dutifully accepts that from time to time he will not see me, and if i do decide to see him, he must lure me to him with the promise of a hot meal on the table, and an extra hot bath ran and ready for me to get into!

i accept that being in the first year of my 20's, this will probably be a long and pointless search!

I should be happy - own place, horse, no money worries but a totally unhorsy OH. Not a day to day problem, as such, but my EDT did a kind of snuggly thing, face-to-face with my pony - who closed his eyes and stood there.

Bit of a wobbly moment for me, there

Love this post!! Im very fortunate it seems. My OH is used to all the time the horses take now after 7yrs. Does help when he will get tea ready, which is most nights and likes to play with his classic car. I guess Im very lucky, he seems to have the attitude that hes happy that Im happy. Teamwork seems to be the key with horses.

Been reading this post and giggling like mad, I vote we have a dating section, what I wouldn't do for a horsey OH, been single for far to long as decided I won't 'date' unless they were horsey - now been single for 6 years cause all the horsey men seem to be gay in Hampshire

Awww thats sweet..nearly had a moment myself:o...
my ex hated animals-all kinds so if i can have a look at the list of men who even slightly like animals that would be great thanks!:)

But have own house,3 neddies,5 dogs and 3 cats.and recently a birthday where my niece told me at 35 i was never getting hitched so id give anything a go?? :D

I think I am just going to keep with the cats, horses, dog and the gin bottle!! My ex hated cats and I have 4 so you have to love them. Also got pissed off with the horses taking up so much time. As far as I am concerned go and get yourself a hobby or clean the house and do something constructive!! Haven't got to be Einstein on that one!!!

As a male who has been involved in horses all his life can I correct a few things on this thread.
1) Some men CAN muck-out, clip, drive lorry, do injections, remove shoes (horses), shift hay, clean tack etc etc etc.
2) We are NOT all gay :p
3) Dinner after 9pm is not an occasional thing, its NORMAL.
4) Some of us understand the horses come first.
5) We aren't all fat and bald by the time we hit 50, some of us still have six pack.
6) We dont all object to the amount of money spent on horses, just dont try to spend £30 on a handbag (thats 7 bales of hay) ;)
7) Drinking tea and gassing does account for at least an hour spent at the yard for most women.

We aren't doubting their existence (at least I'm not anyway), we're just having trouble finding them!

When I was younger I wished I could meet a horsey man who would share my passion for horses. Ended up marrying one with a passion for ships.

OH not horsey but will have my meals ready for me coming in and if necessary the bath is running and a glass of wine poured. Will do odd jobs around the yard for me, muck out when I'm too ill to do it. Cut and laid rubber mats in 4 stables a couple of weeks back and takes my daughter to competitions when I break bones and can't drive!
Also is still tall, dark and handsome with a full head of hair. (Does have a small beer belly but that's for comfort!)
He loves my horses but I think deep down he is slightly jealous of them.
Wish he was more horsey or do I?

And he's definitely not available. Not even for loan!

I guess I am one of the lucky ones. My OH became horsey...he mutters about it something to do with the fact that if he ever wanted to see me again he had no option but he wouldn't not be involved now. Granted I didn't have horses when he met me so maybe I hooked him under false pretences.

Anyway we now have a his and hers, I bought the trailer but he drives it, take it in turns mucking out, etc so it all seems to have worked out quite well

Goiing off feeling very smug and contented now....;)
