Any Tail Guard users around? Need your opinions please!

Thank you so much for all your replies; very interesting and helpful reading :)

Aside from the tail protection, I'm thinking overreach boots (bet there's a whole load of choice with those as well...) and will definitely look into poll guards. And a light sheet because she's quite a hot horse and I think her fleece would be too much unless really cold.

And the tail bag idea is one I will suggest to my friend with a grey who always ends up with a dirty tail after travelling.

I wouldn't worry about legs overheating as the horse is stood 'still', I have never noticed any of my horse's legs heating and alwyas travel in boots... on occasion I have ued both bandages and boots... even if its just brushing boots I would put something on your horse's legs just in case, especially if he is not used to travelling regularly, or if with another horse.

I always travel in a light fleece/cooler, if they sweat up it wicks it away and stops them getting a chill. :)
