I bought my tb with bad aural plaques in his ears. They don't bother him, and at times he will let me pick them out, but they grow back. I applied camrosa to them once and they fell out and came back. My vet advised me not to mess with them and if they weren't bothering him to leave them because he advised the ear was a very delicate structure to treat if anyting went wrong eg an allergic reaction to the camrosa.

Has anyone had an experience of getting rid of them?... or shall I just leave them be?...

My horse had them when I bought him 3 1/2 yrs ago. Then he was really sensitive with his ears - used to struggle even getting a bridle on. I have completely left his alone on the vets recommendation - never picked them or put anything on them. Now he is fine with his ears - and the plaque is actually smaller than it was when I bought him. Very occassionally, if he lets me, I very gentle rub the plaque to see if any comes off, but I never apply pressure to it. It never bothers him, clearly doesnt hurt, and at 17.2 people generally cant see in his ears - so I leave it be.

I used to look after a horse with them, and was told to use tea tree cream on them. I did this religiously for months on end, but it made no difference at all. I gave up in the end as they didn't bother the horse at all. I'd be inclined to leave well alone tbh.

definitely leave well alone. they will eventually self-resolve but interfering with them in any way can make your horse wary and difficult to bridle etc.

You should leave them alone. What do you mean, bad
