The big ginger one is enjoying his solo hacking a bit too much.

Had a great ride out this evening again, his 3rd time out on his own and he hacking out lovely, (usually goes out with a few others and switches off and you have to nag him a bit with your leg) but he's no longer the big dopey plod and marches round the village with his ears pricked, decided to have a little canter along the stewardships on this nice soft area (the rest is a bit too hard) anyway as soon as I put my leg on, booomf! he was off and through a little buck followed straight after by a huge one!!! the great big bumberlox, certainly took me by suprise! but we laughed it off and carried on.

I think we can safely say he's getting fit

Funnily enough trying to get my auntie's horse to hack out on his own.

First time he got too excited and started galloping downhill on stubble - buckaroo! Then something jumped out of the hedge and he bucked then shot off for a few metres

No I hit the deck on Monday after my youngster felt the wind under her tail been so good up until now, too complacent horses are great levellers! so tonight I long lined her as still a few aches its a long way to bounce she's a big girl! I don't seem to bounce as well as I used to!
 
Yep Doodle is on his 3rd week of walking after being on 6 weeks box rest i thought i would try a new route and cut back over the farm - Doh had to walk past his usual xc schooling fences Bad move - LOL

No and yes, he's not mine but I've been riding him for the last few months and have been asked if I'd like to take him on loan, he's only young, well 7 but he's not done much but so far we've done a bit of jumping, first time out we got placed, a bit of dressage, xc clinic and now he's hacking out on his own, we seem to have geled and I'm really enjoying riding him, owners really pleased so its lovely all round, Mr M has been turned away this summer so it gives me something to do while the owner is ready to get back into riding again.

Do you think it was the wind? No2 little grey welshie that daughter has been riding is supposed to be naughty but until today was nowhere near as bad as No 1 little grey welshie, however we've seen the other side of her today. She was insisting on spooking at one end of the school but T rode her through it, then when on the other rein she decided to do a series of mega bucks all down one side of the school, T stopped her but ended up on her neck but still in charge. Was thinking it was the wind winding the pony up?
 
I need to go home yet, I thought I'd just call round at my dads on the way back from the yard and of course I logged on to this blooming website.....over an hour later I'm still here! I ain't had my tea yet!
