An arena near us had BS on this week and I have seen some unaffiliated dressage happening. Has anyone ventured out yet? Just interested to know what measures were in place, how it went. Possibly too soon as not seen any competition reports.

not yet, horse I want to compete is not really competition fit for advanced classes at the moment. But a local venue has some well thought out procedures for dressage, you can only do one level and you get an allocated warm up slot, there are 10 mins slots for tests so you walk off in the test arena etc.

I probably won't rush back out tbh, everything I wanted to qualify for has been cancelled except winter petplans so I'm not going to bother affiliating the TB this year I don't think, and the welsh can just do a couple of shows for her qualification. just doing zillions of arena hires instead o_O

Not myself but YO has taken her daughter out SJ a couple of times. Seems to be working quite well, they are being very strict on sticking to times, all pre-entry, and no coursewalk.

This kind of thing will actually encourage me to get out SJ again, pre entry and times given out in advance is so much better than hanging about waiting all day :D

Not yet but Dolly is hunter trialling on Saturday and out BS the following weekend. I also think the show jumping will be much better with times given out in advance and only 6 in the collecting ring at any one time.
