Anyone doing a late night check cos of bonfire night?

No...mine was kept in a field next to a scrapyard and had the car crusher going off all day, so he takes no notice of fireworks!! We have a huge display near us and none of the horses are that bothered.

Just been down to check my yard, they're all completely ignorant, just stood munching like any other normal night, didn't expect anything different to be honest though x

Daisydo I sit in tackroom away from horses, but tbh I am not willing to take the risk of 'oh it will be ok it's just me making him act up'
I couldn't live with myself seeing how he reacts to them just to walk away and hope for the best to cone back in the morning to a leg hanging off.

It's easy to judge when your horses are ok with fireworks it's not si easy when you own a horse that has an inane fear of them no matter trying for years to de sensitise him to them.

Sorry I was not implying that you were making it up, just that my old boy hated them, and every bonfire night for 10 years I actually sat with him!!!! Until I stopped doing it , that is when he calmed down... So I only speak from my own experience xxxxx

Criso,love it :)

I do worry about fireworks , honest :) and all my neighbours let me knowwhem they are letting them off.

My old boy did hate them soo much that the first year I got him he got colic, so please do remember that I do understandxxx and we also resolved it !!!

Nope. Mine are both out with their mates enjoying themselves in their field. Had a yard bonfire party at yard, using corner of the field once a couple of years ago. They all came around, watched our drunken antics and the fireworks from a safe distance. I temember they all looked extremely interested and not at all frightened.
